he was in the u.s. navy. and he worked in the aviation assets but primarily we're told he worked doing paperwork and things like that. so it's not like he was a fro - front-line combat troop but he certainly served during the vietnam war and we're also told by neighbors, this something they said he has espoused, anti-government feelings, that he's not real keen on the government. and then we know that of course he built himself a shelter. and someone called it a bunker. some had called it a storm shelter. which is where he has been for past days with the 5-year-old boy. beyond that, he's been isolated from the community. he has had run-ins with his neighbors. he was supposed to go to court last wednesday to answer pertaining to an altercation back in december in which he made threats against neighbors. so there have been problems in the neighborhood with him. but he has pretty much been a man who kept to himself and seemed to want to be that way till all of this exploded on tuesday, wolf. >> martin, hold on f
